Craig John Davidson
Craig enjoys a steady career building on his experience from his travels and working with other artists in his home town and elsewhere. When not playing solo Craig enjoys his time playing bass with Aberdeen-based band Yer Ma! and working his own original ideas into their songs and performances. But his main joy is working up new materials for his solo act and much of his waking hours are spent in his own studio writing, arranging and recording his latest solo material.
Craig is proud to come from Aberdeen in the north east of Scotland. Named the “Granite City’ or “Silver City” because of its preponderance of sparkling granite buildings – Aberdeen is Scotland’s third largest city with a population of around 210,000. As a centre of the North Sea energy industry, it is also known as the “Oil Capital of Europe”. It also has been dubbed as Britain’s “Flower Capital” because it has won the Beautiful Britain in Bloom title no less than 10 times. There are fabulous floral displays throughout the city – arising from a base of 2.5 million roses, 11 million daffodils and 3 million crocuses. It has a few web cams too and here’s one looking down at the famous CASTLEGATE.
